Our Mission Statement
This bank was established to make a profit while serving the financial needs of (1) our community, (2) its businesses, and (3) its citizens. We are in the financial services business, and no line of financial service is beyond our charter, as long as we are serving needs of businesses and families of our community.
The bank is in business to make a profit for its shareholders. The primary mission of this bank is to maximize its earnings. That is, we want to maximize the total earnings of the bank over the long term. When necessary, we will sacrifice short-term earnings for higher profits in the future, but only when we are sure that the short-term sacrifices are worth the long-term gains.
This bank is a responsible citizen and a business leader of our community. The bank takes its citizenship duties seriously and will not knowingly take actions that are adverse to the best interest of our community, its businesses, or its families.
The bank’s most important asset is its customer base. Without customers, we are nothing. Our products are designed to meet the needs of our customers, and our employees are hired to meet the needs of our customers. High quality customer service is the true mission of this bank. It is only through the accomplishment of this mission that we can reach our profitability goals.
The next most important asset of our bank is its employees. Without dedicated and responsible employees, it would be impossible for the bank to be a responsible citizen of the community or to render high quality customer service. A mission of this bank; therefore, is to be a responsible employer. All bank employees will be treated with dignity and respect. All will be given equal opportunity and a fair wage without respect to race, color, sex, age, or disability.
The following is a one sentence statement of the bank’s mission: The mission of this bank is to maximize its earnings while being a responsible business that renders high quality service to customers through the efforts of fairly treated employees.
